Baptism
Baptism is the beginning and foundation of the whole Christian life.
Through Baptism, we are freed from sin and reborn as sons and daughters of Christ. We consciously choose for our children this way of living, of following the ways of our Lord in the Catholic Church. We become members of the Body of Christ, the Church, and are made sharers in her mission.
Baptisms are celebrated with the parish community on designated Sundays during the year.
What is the process for my child to be baptized?
-
Parents will need to participate in a baptismal preparation session prior to the baptism.
-
When deciding on Godparents, please ensure that they are fully initiated Catholics (having been baptized, received First Communion and Confirmation)
